The Girls: You’re not too young or too old to start doing monthly breast self-exams. If you do one thing after reading this post please download the Check Yourself App from the Keep A Breast Foundation. It not only provides a tutorial, in case you are unsure of the process, but also sets a monthly reminder on your phone. The Foundation’s mission is to empower young people with breast health education and support. We have had several friends over the years who had breast cancer in their early 30’s so it is never too young to start. Aaaand for those of us who still have a tough time remembering this will be a very helpful reminder. According to their site, 40% of diagnosed breast cancer’s are detected by women who discover their own lump so get it now!!!
